Mediante la adopci\u00f3n del CAP1000, un dise\u00f1o de reactor de agua a presi\u00f3n de tercera generaci\u00f3n, la construcci\u00f3n del reactor N\u00famero 1 incorporar\u00e1 una construcci\u00f3n modular, tecnolog\u00edas de construcci\u00f3n digital y soldadura automatizada, entre otros, para mejorar la seguridad y la eficiencia econ\u00f3mica. El proyecto contempla un total de seis reactores. La construcci\u00f3n de los reactores No. 5 y No. 6 empez\u00f3 en 2022 y 2023, respectivamente, utilizando la tecnolog\u00eda nuclear Hualong One de tercera generaci\u00f3n dise\u00f1ada por el propio pa\u00eds. Una vez que los seis reactores est\u00e9n en operaci\u00f3n total, se espera que el proyecto genere alrededor de 52.000 millones de kilovatios-hora de electricidad anualmente. Ese volumen de producci\u00f3n equivaldr\u00e1 al ahorro de 15,77 millones de toneladas de carb\u00f3n est\u00e1ndar y a la reducci\u00f3n de emisiones de alrededor de 42,69 millones de toneladas de di\u00f3xido de carbono al a\u00f1o, dijo el CGN.
